I played the Double Your Pleasure mod for Civ 3, and loved it, but I have to say that Fall from Heaven II plays even better. A lot of thought has gone into balancing things and making the in game decisions very interesting. Exploration is a challenge, with fierce animals out there in the wilderness.Ībove all, the game feels professionally done. More than anything else, I have to say i am sucked into this world which remains a rather dark and scary place well along into the game. Magic is not finished, but what is in the game works well, and involves complex strategy. Techs, buildings, and units are largely re-done. Civs are all original, interesting, and unique. Dbemont wrote:Count me totally impressed on this one.Ī fantasy world takeoff on Civ, and extremely well done, although the guy doing it claims it is far from done.
